Can't login anymore to sync

Hi - in the app, I select Google / Connect with Google account, but it says "Account already exists"
On the Web site, I click "Sign in with Google, but it says "Please register with your account using the app first!"
How can I get around this ?

Still can't connect / sign in via Google (I do have the Pro version)
So I have used a different (non-Google) email address to create a new "Me" and setup sync again
