Tracking Update Notifications Stopped

Question

Ever since the update to 5.5, I have stopped getting notifications on my phone (Pixel 2XL, running Oreo). I remember seeing some notification about a setting I needed to enable when the app updated, but I missed it. Now I can't find the setting to get the notifications back.

As of now, the only way I can get tracking updates is to open the app and refresh it.

Please head to the Notifications category of the app settings (left menu in the main list -> gear-wheel symbol). There, you will find a button labeled "Problems?" that will lead you to the energy optimization settings. Please add an exception for Deliveries there.

I'm still looking into ways to remove this limitation but that will require way more time. Sorry for the inconvenience!
