Play Store says beta program is full. Is there any other way to join the beta program?

Just like the title says,

the Play Store says the beta Program for this app is full.

I'm interested in beta testing, and I'm wondering if there is any other way I can still join the beta program?

I currently don't really want more than 1000 testers, so I'm hesitant on increasing the limit. For me, it says there are currently 955 testers, so there might be a slot for you now?

If you cannot register within the Google Play store, you can also try this link (it worked for me while the Google Play app said there are no free slots).

(Also note that there currently is no beta update available, and they are usually very unspectacular)
